What do I need to do?
Your existing Username is already reserved for you on Hughes.net!
All of your existing DIRECWAY email account names are being held for you in our new email system. When you activate your new account, your new email address will be like your existing one – only with hughes.net on the end. (For example email address firstname.lastname@example.org) will change to email@example.com.
When do I have to make this change?
You’ll want to activate your new email address right away in order to take advantage of the new features. The new web mail interface is easy to use and allows you to continue to receive your former direcway.com email in your new Hughes.net account.
On April 22, 2006, we will close the old DIRECWAY web mail interface. At that time you will no longer be able to send outgoing emails using that address. By using the “fetch” feature described below you can continue to receive incoming email in your DIRECWAY account until August 1, 2006.
What happens to the email in my existing account?
When you follow the directions in the migration email sent to your direcway.com account (or you may manually migrate your accounts by following the steps found in the customer care section at myhughesnet.com.), all your email in your DIRECWAY account will be copied into your new Hughes.net account.
Where do I go to get access to my new Webmail?
First, follow the directions in the migration email to access your new Hughes.net account the first time and to copy your DIRECWAY mail. Then bookmark http://mail.hughes.net to regularly access your email.
Enter your username (Do not enter “@hughes.net”) and your password.

You can use the “fetch” feature to continue to receive your direcway.com email until August 1st. The ability to send emails from direcway.com ends on April 22, 2006. See below to learn about the fetch feature.
