Driver Installation
The proper installation of the Satellite Receiver Adapter device is
an essential step in setting up your DIRECWAY system. Please
follow the instructions below to learn the best way to install the satellite
receiver device driver.
- Insert the DIRECWAY CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The
DIRECWAY Installation program should start automatically. If
the DIRECWAY Installation program does not start automatically, click
the Start button and choose Run. Then enter x:\setup.exe
(where x: is the letter of your CD-ROM drive) and click the OK
button.
- It is important to NOT connect the USB cable
from the satellite receiver adapter to your computer until the setup program
instructed to do so during the software installation.
- From the DIRECWAY Installation screen, click the
Install Software option. This will start the DIRECWAY
software installation process.
- During the software installation process you will
be prompted to connect the USB satellite receiver adapter to your computer.
By this time, the setup program has already pre-copied the
drivers for your satellite receiver adapter. After connecting
the USB satellite receiver to your computer, a Windows dialog should appear
indicating that new hardware has been found. Windows should
automatically find the required drivers and continue without any user
intervention.
- Continue the software installation process until
it is finished. You may be prompted to restart your computer.
