Firewalls

Firewalls are systems that are designed to prevent unauthorized access to your computer. Firewalls can be implemented in both hardware and software, but a software firewall would typically be used with DIRECWAY. Using a firewall with DIRECWAY can help prevent unauthorized access to your computer from other users on the Internet. This is especially important if you are using the DIRECWAY Satellite Return system as you are "always connected" to the Internet.

This troubleshooting section deals with implementing a software firewall with DIRECWAY.

System "blue screens" if the Satellite Adapter is disabled while BlackIce Defender firewall is running
