Some important things to remember when
using DIRECWAY include:
- All DIRECWAY applications and services require that
the Navigator application be running. The Navigator application is configured
to load on Windows startup. The Navigator application creates an icon
in the system tray when it is running.
- If you are using a modem as the return channel and
the Auto Connect option is enabled on the Dialup
tab in the Turbo Internet properties, certain applications that generate
network activity may cause the Navigator application to automatically
dial your ISP. If you are unable to determine which application is generating
network activity, you may wish to disable this feature. [Note: The
Auto Connect feature is disabled by default]
- To access and configure your DIRECWAY services, right
mouse click on the Navigator icon in the system tray. A menu of options
appears that allows you to connect or disconnect from the Internet, configure
available DIRECWAY services, access help, and check the status of Navigator.
