Diagnostics - Satellite Device Driver Test
The Satellite Device Driver diagnostic test verifies that your satellite receiver adapter and driver are functioning correctly. The Satellite Device Driver diagnostic test identifies adapter installation problems and potential hardware problems with your satellite receiver adapter. In some instances, rebooting your computer will solve minor device driver problems.

The Satellite Device Driver diagnostic test can discover the following problems:
Satellite Receiver Adapter not responding and the driver installation is correct
The satellite receiver adapter is not responding to sent commands. However, the installation of the satellite receiver adapter and driver is correct. Typically, rebooting your computer will correct this situation.
Satellite Receiver Adapter not responding and there is a potential problem with the driver installation or the adapter may not be connected to your computer
The satellite receiver adapter is not responding to sent commands. This may be due to a problem with the device driver or software installation or the satellite receiver adapter may not be connected to your computer. First, verify that the satellite receiver adapter is connected to one of your computer's USB ports and that it has power. If the connection is established, try rebooting your computer to see if that resolves the problem. If the problem still persists, reinstall the software and re-run the WebSetup utility. (For more information please see Driver Installation) If reinstallation does not resolve the problem, please contact technical support for further assistance.
Abnormal amount of CRC data errors
When receiving data from the satellite, the satellite receiver adapter performs a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) on each packet of data received. Typically, the occurrence of CRC errors is very low. In rare circumstances, an abnormal amount of CRC data errors may occur indicating degraded satellite system performance. Restarting your computer may solve this problem but if the problem persists, please contact technical support for further assistance.
